14 Feb Helping resident’s become mobile in Uxbridge
We like to make a positive impact on those communities where our projects are. And we like seeing people mobile, so we were more than happy to help make a difference by donating £2,000 towards Hillingdon Shopmobility – a charity set up to help residents move around more freely.
Located in The Pavillions Shopping Centre, Uxbridge where we are working on the MetroBank store, the charity provides a range of mobility aids including scooters, wheelchairs, walking sticks as well as blankets to help those with mobility challenges. By providing such equipment it helps residents move around more freely enabling them to shop at their leisure.
Andy Field, Commercial Director said “We are delighted to lend our support to Hillingdon Shopmobility, allowing them to ensure all their mobility equipment is fully serviced and repaired over the coming year. It’s a great scheme and it’s good to see the positive impact it has on it’s users.”
Hillingdon Shopmobility Operations Director Sue Johnson said “Thank you so much for your generous donation. It will allow us to ensure all of our equipment is in good operational condition, especially given the amount of use over time.”
