harrisonJorge, working with contractor BAM, were appointed to complete the WC fit-out and general joinery packages including doors, skirting and architrave at Curtis Green on Victoria Embankment – the new HQ of the Metropolitan Police.

The WC’s feature tiled colour schemes inspired by police car liveries, from the ubiquitous blue and yellow chequerboard to the red, blue and orange stripes of diplomatic protection group vehicles.

Won at design competition by architect AHMM the challenge was to transform this 1930’s building covering 150,000sq.ft into a modern and efficient HQ fit for the 21st century.

The New Scotland Yard HQ also features a conference centre with a crime museum in the sub-basement.

The new Met Police HQ will help Londoner’s reconnect with the Met.
