harrisonJorge were appointed to undertake the specialist joinery and general fit-out packages of Phase 1 comprising the fit-out of the redundant oil tanks which were converted into spaces for performance.

These huge circular spaces in the foundations of the Blavatnik Building have kept their rough, industrial feel to now house new art.  Measuring over thirty metres across and seven metres high, our scope included the fully co-ordinated design and fit-out service of specialist security & acoustic doors, toilet fit-out, specialist acoustic sprayed finishes, acoustic fire-rated glass screens and specialist joinery and wall linings.

The new extension opened to the public in June 2016 and continues to attract a growing number of artists, exhibitions and visitors alike.
